JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources is a strategic business partner to the Webroot leadership team and will be responsible for developing the human capital strategy to position the company as an Employer of Choice. This position will lead and direct organizational development, employee retention strategies, corporate leadership, and employee development.  This position will also architect and drive the company total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits and HR Operations.  The VP of HR will also lead activities related to performance management, policy and program development, employee relations, and employment-related legal compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior management to identify and address the critical needs of the overall business and achieve a long-range HR strategy.
  • Provide strong HR leadership and direction for the HR function and the overall business.
  • Develop and manage a market competitive total rewards strategy to ensure talent attraction and retention while managing costs.
  • Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific strategies to fill the gaps.
  • Consult with leaders on organizational effectiveness, employee performance and development, and employee relations.
  • Drive a talent management strategy using a succession planning methodology for key contributor and management positions.
  • Develop and lead programs pertaining to employee training, development and leadership.
  • Develop HR programs and identify key HR metrics to analyze and solve business problems that impact organizational capability (improve productivity and cycle times, reduce cost, and increase profitability.)
  • Evaluate technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
  • Develop and manage international HR policies and programs.
  • Manage employee communications, employee health and safety, and community relations.
  • Manage the Human Resources budget and other key metrics.

Required Skills and Experience

  • An innovative, results-driven senior HR executive with 8+ years of HR Business Partner experience in the high technology environment, with a minimum of 3+ years in a senior management role.
  • Must be well versed in core HR competencies including employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational effectiveness, performance management, training, and employment practices.
  • Experience working with the Compensation Committee of the BODs, providing analyses, guidance and recommendations as required.
  • Must be able to manage an employee base spanning multiple geographic locations.
  • Must possess considerable knowledge of state, federal and international employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate and influence at a senior management level.
  • Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Experience with corporate mergers and integrations preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required with an advanced degree a plus. SPHR certification a plus.
