Webroot believes not only in being a good cybercitizen, but also in being a good corporate and community citizen. With this in mind, we are actively involved in a variety of programs to support our community.
The Webroot Charitable Giving Program is committed to improving the world in which we live through employee involvement, volunteerism and financial investment. Webroot provides a company match for employee donations; we provide our employees with one paid day off per year to volunteer; and our Webroot Giving Committee makes quarterly grants to non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with Webroot’s philanthropic focus areas. Webroot’s current philanthropic focus areas are child safety, environmental stewardship and education.
The Webroot “Go Green” Initiative is led by our “Go Green” Team, which consists of seven employees who are dedicated to implementing green initiatives and green education company wide. Company-sponsored Eco Passes encourage use of public transportation. At our corporate
headquarters in Boulder, we are composting and recycling. We use biodegradable kitchen products and print on post consumer recycled paper using vegetable-based inks. We have reduced paper in our product packaging by 35 percent. Our Australian data center has purchased carbon offsets to minimize its environmental impact. Webroot now offers e-waste recycling to customers who replace obsolete hardware with our Software as a Service (SaaS) security solutions. We continue to investigate ways to further reduce our corporate carbon footprint.
Other Involvement - Webroot is actively involved with organizations including the Antispyware Coalition and Think Security First.
