Webroot Software, Inc., the leading provider of anti–spyware software and other security technologies for the enterprise and consumers, today announced the appointment of Greg Myers, former CFO of Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), to its board of directors. Myers will also serve as the Chairperson for Webroot Software’s audit committee.

Myers has more than 30 years of financial management experience. Most recently, Myers held the position of senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Symantec. Myers’ responsibilities at Symantec included worldwide finance, corporate development and business operations. Prior to joining Symantec in 1993, Myers held various financial management positions at a number of technology companies. Myers most recently served on the board of directors of Maxtor Corp. prior to its acquisition by Seagate Technology, Inc. (NYSE: STX) in mid–May of this year, and also served on the board of directors of Inktomi prior to the acquisition by Yahoo Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) in March 2003.
