Webroot, a leading Internet security provider for the consumer, enterprise and SMB markets, today announced the appointment of Jerry Jalaba as vice president of channel sales. In this position, Jalaba will lead Webroot's already successful channel program, driving growth through strategic relationships with a variety of partners, including value added resellers, service providers, independent software vendors, distributors, systems integrators and others.
"Jerry Jalaba has spent nearly three decades developing a deep understanding of how to build successful, long-term relationships with partners and customers," said Don Beck, senior vice president and General Manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at Webroot. "His leadership and strong track record in growing successful channel programs for top technology companies will be instrumental to Webroot's growth as we continue to strengthen our position in the security market."
Jalaba brings to Webroot more than 25 years of experience in sales, channels and marketing. He joins Webroot from Intacct, a leader in on-demand financial management applications where he built a successful channel of value added resellers, OEM’s and CPA firms. Prior to Intacct, Jalaba worked at Google via their acquisition Postini, where he was vice president of worldwide alliance and channel sales. In that position, he helped to accelerate growth via highly successful channel initiatives. At Postini, Jalaba developed and executed a diversified strategy for global channels in the SaaS market.
"Webroot clearly understands the needs of the channel and how to empower partners for mutual success," said Jalaba. "Many resellers in the security market are looking for a more channel-friendly vendor – my immediate goal is to dramatically expand Webroot’s channel initiatives to take advantage of this demand."
Jalaba started his career at IBM in a variety of sales and marketing management roles over a 13-year period. He spent five years at 3Com, where he was vice president of North American sales and vice president of worldwide sales operations. For the past ten years, Jalaba has invented and implemented creative distribution strategies as vice president of sales and channels at fast growing companies including Vertical Networks, Ramp Networks, Palm, Postini and Google.
