  • How do I find my keycode?

    The keycode is a string of 20 capital letters that begin with 'SS'. It is unique and holds the information in regards to your subscription.

    For version 7.0, Webroot 2011:

    1. Open your software
    2. Click on My Account or Support to find your keycode.

    For versions 5.0 an above (using Windows 2000, XP, and Vista):

    1. Open the Webroot software by double clicking the Webroot icon.
    2. To ensure you are on the correct page click once on the 'Home' button in the upper left corner.
    3. Look to the right of the window and click on the link labeled 'About My Subscription' or 'About Spy Sweeper'. This will open a new window.
    4. About half-way down this window you will see the keycode.

    Note: If you are using any version of Windows older than Windows 2000 we no longer support those operating systems.

  • I would like to request a copy of my keycode?

  • How do I find out how much time is left on my subscription?

    All of our products are a subscription based service that come with annual fees. Thus each subscription has an expiration date. To find the date of your expiration follow these instructions:

    For version 7.0, Webroot 2011:

    1. Open your Webroot software
    2. Click on the Support Tab
    3. You will see a calendar icon under Subscription telling you how many days are left on your subscription.

    For versions 5.0 an above (using Windows 2000, XP, and Vista):

    1. Open the Webroot software by double clicking the Webroot icon.
    2. To ensure you are on the correct page click once on the 'Home' button in the upper left corner.
    3. Look to the right of the window and you will see a box labeled 'Subscription Status'. This shows your active through date of your subscription.

  • I renewed my subscription but it still shows expired?

    Most often this is due to installing with the wrong keycode as many of our customers acquire multiple keycodes over the years.

    1. Please double check that you are using the correct keycode. Click here to learn how to find your keycode.
    2. You received download instructions in an e-mail for the renewal. The keycode in that e-mail should match the keycode in the software.

    If it does not, then you need to reinstall. Follow the directions in the e-mail and use the keycode provided.

  • My software is telling me I am going to expire. How do I renew for additional years?

    The easiest way to renew your software is through your product.

    For version 7.0 / Webroot 2011:

    1. Open you Webroot Software
    2. Click on the Support Tab
    3. Under Subscription you will see a Renew Now button
    4. Click on this button to instantly renew.

    There are two other ways to renew:

    1. Renew your subscription online at http://updates.webroot.com/renewal/
    2. Call our Sales Support Team at 1866-612-4268 M-F 7AM-8PM (MST) or Sat/Sun 9AM-4PM (MST), and speak directly with a sales agent who can renew your subscription for multiple years and provide advice on making sure you are fully protected.
  • How do I opt-out of your auto-renewal program?

    Webroot wants to eunsure that your PC is protected from ongoing security threats by offering you "Uninterrupted Protection" and automatically renewing your subscription with us.   • I need to reinstall my software, how do I request a download?

    1. Go to http://www.webroot.com/updates/redownload/request
    2. Select the product you are using
    3. Enter your last name and email address in the fields provided. Make sure that you provide the last name and email address that was used to register your software.
    4. Click Request Download Instructions
    5. You should now receive an email containing your keycode as well as instructions on how to download your software.
