• 5 out of 5 stars           Great for SMB with a streched IT staff

We were looking for a compete Malware/Virus software that was managed in the cloud and had minimal impact on system performance. WEBROOT was able to meet all these requirements and at an affordable price. Increased malware detection and removal has saved numerous hours in regards to the IT Staff schedule. We chose Webroot because of it is Cloud based and the self-detection and removal Increased the ROI on security software allowing us to use those resources in other areas. Perfect for anyone who needs a business class malware detection but are on a SMB budget!
  • 5 out of 5 stars           Excellent Solution

Was previously using the Trend Worry Free Business platform, was having issues keeping the signatures up to date as well as the client software versions. Did have performance problems, and the cost was high. Did see three infections that resulted in using combofix to remove the viruses. The client side performance has made the product generally invisible to the end users. All knew about Trend before, and would note that it caused performance issues. I went from having a weekly review of what was happening with Trend to forgetting about Webroot for months at a time. The cost as a new customer was about the same as the Trend renewal, and the time savings is huge. Being the only product at the time that was not signature based was impressive. The client footprint and the lack of client side updates needing to be processed was the real differentiator. I've worked with McAfee, Symantec, and Trend products for the past 15 years, and none were anywhere near the light foot print and low process/memory usage of Webroot. It took an annoying part of the computing business in virus management, and made it something no one has to think about. Simple, flexible, and cost effective. Support is effective and responsive when needed.
  • 5 out of 5 stars           The best software we have
    09/04/14 2:40:45 MDT By DKNC
We experienced an attack while using McAfee, and Norton Internet Security was creating performance issues. Customer service and technical support with both of those services was poor. First and foremost, Webroot has worked very effectively on all of our systems. We haven't had a single attack on a Webroot-protected system (approx. 10 PCs now), and Webroot doesn't interfere with any of our other software. It is also very, very easy to deploy on new systems as we buy them. I initially chose Webroot when I was offered a free 6-month trial with a PC that I purchased at Best Buy. As between Webroot and the other solution they offered (Kaspersky), I chose Webroot because of the reputation for excellent tech support after having had major issues with Norton and McAfee support. We saw a 100% drop in the rate of infections after deploying Webroot. I own a small business and essentially have to serve as the IT department. Any time that I have to spend worrying about infection/attack protection is time that I can't spend managing or growing my business. Since switching to Webroot, I have had to spend literally no time worrying about infection/attack protection. It's also very easy to add protection to new PCs as our business grows. I am thrilled with my experience with Webroot in my business and at home. As long as it continues to work as well as it has, I wouldn't even think of making a switch. I've been very satisfied with the few instances in which I've had to call tech support or customer service. Your team is excellent and each time has been able to answer questions quickly (usually less than 5 minutes on the phone as compared to 45+ minutes with Norton or McAfee).
  • 5 out of 5 stars           Installs and works as advertised
    09/04/14 12:56:52 MDT By Julzbo
The administration portal is user friendly, convenient and effective. The Webroot solution was also less expensive than other options I looked into. The administration portal was key to my decision. I needed something that would alert me to infections on computers not on our company domain (remote offices, laptop users, etc). It was also extremely fast and easy to deploy. I did a 30 day trial and didn't have any issues during or after installation. I'm more confident that all of our systems are secure with up-to-date virus definitions and scans. I also appreciate the clean-up tool on the portal. It saves me time because i don't have to "visit" a desk, even remotely, to re-run a scan or clean an infection. Webroot quietly runs in the background and I don't have any complaints about computer performance issues while scanning. Fastest install I've ever seen. Scan is also impressively fast. Works as advertised. I've been happy with the software and have deployed it at another company that I support. So far it has been a great return on investment.

We experienced numerous viruses that were not caught by our previous provider, and we installed a new server that required more up to date protection. We wanted a system that our IT company is knowledgeable about and can provide direction on easily. Webroot was highly recommended by our IT provider. With Webroot we have had decreased infections, more pages blocked with warnings, increased reporting capabilities, and time savings since Webroot runs in real time. We have seen less time spent dealing with computer viruses, less data lost, and improved employee moral by not having computers in for repair. Very good overall experience. Easy to install, easy to update, easy to navigate on-line supervisory functions.

We have had no issues since subscribing to Webroot and it gives us a centralized way of making sure everyone plus our server is protected. We are now safe and do not have to worry about employees keeping their machines up-to-date themselves. Webroot is easy, professional and reliable. What else is there when you have other things to focus on in your business?

All of my clients across the board get infected much less often which saves them money on my fees and therefore they are happy with me and my company/service. PCs also are faster due to the less intrusive nature on system resources and scan times. I have used on all my enterprise and residential customers for 3 years now and I have not found anything better than Webroot. Cost per license is less with Webroot than other solutions. PC magazines editors choice is what got me to evaluate Webroot and have been happy ever since. As an IT consultant is has actually cost me money as I have less machines to clean on any given day, week, month..... But, my clients are happy as I am saving them money and is one of the reasons they stay with me. I use it personally as well and it keeps my systems and family systems cleaner than anything else I have used in the past. In the past three years that I have used and sold Webroot products, my clients have considerably fewer infections and systems run faster due to the fact that Webroot uses fewer system resources than other products. As an IT consultant my clients are happier with me considering I spend less time having to clean their systems therefore saving them money.

    08/26/14 12:50:19 MDT By ChicagoJay
The Webroot client is MUCH easier on my old computers. Especially the ones for 512MB or 256MB of RAM! They are usable again! Also - Webroot (so far) hasn't sent me any spam, asking me to buy products from them that I don't already own. When Trend ignored my 3rd demand to stop spamming me, I warned them that I would not renew if they spammed me again. They spammed me again, so I looked at what else was out there. I had already looked at McAfee, Sophos, and Kaspersky, back when I picked Trend over those others, so I didn't consider them again. We moved to Trend FROM Norton, so I didn't look at them either. I tried BitDefender, but their sales people never got back to me. It was obvious that they weren't very organized over there. PC Mag's review made me feel that Webroot was the only other viable solution, so I gave it a try. The management interface is super-intuitive, and installation is lightning fast. The computers ALL seemed to be snappier after removing Trend and putting Webroot on them! I love how fast the installation is! It also seems to run in a much smaller footprint (less than 1MB of RAM) compared to Trend's client. Installs quickly, runs quickly, manages easily. Support is very responsive. What more could you want???
  • 5 out of 5 stars           Death to Signatures

All the other AV solutions that I knew of were wholly inadequate with their signature based solutions. We had a Spiceworks Spicecorp meetup that Webroot sponsored and after the demo I was pretty sure this was the solution for us. I took the free demo home and tried it out and loved the quick scanning and web interface for management. I was convinced that this was for my work and brought it to my boss and sold him on it. Performance has improved with the fast scanning and not getting hung up on .cab files. My end users are happy and I'm happy not having to manage their security as much anymore. The main reason is that it got good reviews, no AV solution is perfect, and it didn't use a signature DB to detect malicious software. This is the solution to go with if you don't want to inconvenience your customers. Never again will my AV choke on CAB files.
  • 5 out of 5 stars           Webroot is the best thus far!

Webroot has prevented multiple infections with the help of the GPO's we have implemented to prevent unauthorized installs. The fact that is doesn't hog PC resources is a great benefit along with not having to update each client manually. Since deploying there have been less infections and no decrease in PC performance.
