Webroot, a leading provider of security solutions for the consumer, enterprise and SME markets, has been shortlisted for five categories in the run up to the Network Computing Awards, being held on 4th March, 2010 in London.

Webroot is a finalist for both Messaging Product of the Year and Data Centre Product of the Year for its Webroot® Email Security Service. Webroot® Web Security Service has been nominated as Security Product of the Year and selected by Network Computing’s product review team as a finalist in the category of Lab Tested Product of the Year. The company has also been voted as a finalist in the hotly-contested category of Managed Service Provider of the Year. Voting for finalists begins today at www.networkcomputingawards.co.uk.

Visitors to the Network Computing award website are invited to vote for Webroot and its solutions, by selecting Webroot in the appropriate categories on the awards website. The voting process is simple and quick with just one box to tick.

Last year, Webroot won the award for ’Messaging Product of the Year,’ demonstrating the IT industry’s recognition of the company’s position as a leading provider within the security as a service market. Webroot Email Security Service handles billions of messages for thousands of corporate, education, and government customers worldwide. Everyday, the Webroot Web Security Service ensures that millions of end users are protected from new and evolving Web-threats.

Ian Moyse, Webroot EMEA Channel Director, commented, "Being chosen for a Network Computing Award is significant to Webroot, as it is voted for by the readers of the magazine, all of whom are actual users of IT. We're always delighted with feedback from our customers who tell us how utilising Webroot's Web Security and Email Security Services, as well as our other award-winning solutions, makes using their PCs painless and so much more efficient. We hope that the users of Webroot's services will be as eager to publicly share their satisfaction by taking a few moments to visit the Network Computing website, or the Webroot, website to place our products at the forefront of these hotly contested awards."

Votes can also be placed by visitors to the Webroot website, at www.webroot.co.uk, who will be redirected to the voting page from the home page.
