    We have gone through many antivirus solutions and am currently using Webroot. The latest version works very well with our over 500 installations. Half of the installs are on Terminal Servers both 2003 and 2008. Our incidents of infected servers and workstations have dropped significantly since moving to Webroot.

    Layered security involving products from multiple vendors can very occasionally produce unexpected results. Each incident must be evaluated on an individual basis by our team. Our Support and Development Teams are committed to customer success, and can work with you to diagnose and remediate any issues that result in unexpected blockage of access to sites. In situations where the issue is the result of a newly discovered bug in our product, fixes are prioritized in the development backlog for future releases. In the event current customer configuration is at fault, every effort is made to provide guidance for making any necessary changes to resolve the issue.

    We've had a few issues with the proxy server not allowing users access when there is nothing wrong at our end, this usually means that we need to change the proxy settings so we end up with US centric websites and defaults. Getting support can be somewhat tiresome as they work office hours. All in all I am pleased with the control and performance. Mike R - Webroot Community Support

    Enterprise customers expect to turn a tool like this on and forget it. Unfortunatley with the service outages and need to setup the solution twice following a breakdown in relationship between Webroot and their whitelisting partner this has not been the case. We also have difficulties when trying to connect to the Internet from external locations such as trains, hotels and airports due to authentication issues with Webroot. Come back Surfcontrol all is forgiven !! Mike R - Webroot Community Support

    Thank you for the constructive feedback. We are moving towards a feature-set and experience like the one you have described. The product is being upgraded and re-developed on the backend and then being pushed to the console. These changes will improve the reliability, usability and security.     Webroot on numerous occasions have made significant changes to their product which has a detrimental affect on our business, and have clearly not fully tested the changes before rolling them out. The desktop web proxy client is painful to use it can take quite some time to pick up changes in users and during this period will cause the user loss of Internet access, in a business which is Mike R - Webroot Community Support

    Webroot ended Webroot Web Security Service in 2012 and decided it would still be a good product once upgraded. The product is being upgraded and re-developed on the backend and then being pushed to the console. These changes will improve the product's reliability, usability and security.     Webroot is pretty good but I would like to have it more user friendly. I like the roll out feature in Webroot Deployment, it is easy to setup and configuration is is simple. The issue that I have are with the Secure Anywhere online portal. I wish that I had an easier way of uninstalling endpoints. Half the time I try to uninstall it doesn't work and I end up having to RDP to a machine to manually uninstall. This is counter productive for me as it should be doing what it says on the tin. Another thing is everytime I deactivate a endpoint I need to contact Webroot to completely remove the endpoint. As, and correct me if I am wrong, I have been told that deactivated endpoints are still using licences. I should be able to this for myself. A few warnings from SecureAnywhere would suffice i.e. "Are you sure you want to remove this endpoint?" kind of question. Pushing out updates also doesn't work for all endpoints with the http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsasme.exe link. I tried to update all my units and some don't update even though they are up-to-date in the last column of the console. So for me at least there are a few kinks that can be addressed.     We appreciate the review you have provided and are constantly looking to improve all areas of our Endpoint Protection solution. We would like to point out that the “Deactivate Endpoint” agent command should remove the endpoint from the licensing count, as well as issue an “uninstall command” – we recommend using this method when de-provisioning a device. The agent commands persist for 48 hrs, which may explain why some devices may still be active and installed as they may have been offline during this 24 hr period. Our support team would be very keen to understand your upgrade issue and will be in contact to understand your case further.

    We have recently replaced our previous AV product with this (internally and for our clientele), we had high expectations given the sales and demo presentations we received. We love the management console,the ease of use and the small footprint. However we had issues with this product not being able to eliminate a mass infection at a client site, we did have to call an account manager to get some attention (the right attention). We were told this product isn't a remediation product which was quite a shocking since thats what you expect all AV products are supposed to be able to do. The techs made some adjustments to the scan level and Since this occurred it has been rectified but we would have expected this from the support team straight up. Since then the product has been good, however we are still waiting to form a solid opinion on the product and support!
