SecureAnywhere is a breeze to use. It has a much smaller footprint (both disk space and memory) than the Symantec product we replaced. Our desktops run better now and we are better protected. As an added bonus, our mobile users stay protected and up to date even when they are away from our office!

"We have used several other endpoint products over the last three years including Symantec Endpoint Protection and Kaspersky Endpoint Security. None of them come close to what we've seen Webroot do in its first month on our workstations. The client itself is tiny and very impressive, finding infections on machines that Kaspersky reported as being protected. Scanning is quick and effective. There is no noticeable lag on any machines running the software. The web-based management interface is slick and responsive. It's nice to be able to get into and manage all our PCs without having to first remote into our network."
"WRSA, as we call it to avoid all the unnecessary syllables, not only stacks up against the myriad solutions we've tried in years past -- it dominates. While the personal/home products are great for the average user, WRSA is on a whole other level in a business environment. As a managed services provider we have many clients spread across a wide geographical area. In the past, managing A/V for each client meant logging in to individual servers or even workstations remotely, as the management console simply didn't extend outside of the LAN. With cloud-based control, we can check the status of dozens to hundreds of devices at a glance. Even if a WAN connection is dropped at a client's office, the last reported information is still available in the admin console. The agent commands available to each endpoint provide a level of control that previously would have required a separate remote management solution. The agent itself is extremely lightweight yet powerful, and rarely requires any direct interaction or maintenance at the end-user level. The support so far has been fantastic; the staff are professional, knowledgeable, patient, and rapid in their responses.
I rarely spend the time to write a review of a product, and even more rare are those reviews that are so glowing. The cost-effectiveness, performance, reliability, and support that Webroot has been able to provide puts their products at the very top of our list -- an essential tool for every device we support. Thanks, and keep up the good work!"
"I have used several of the major antivirus malware systems in my healthcare environment over the years, including the older version of webroot. Everyone of them failed in my recovery bays or procedure rooms where I have multiple laptops attached to patients on Pulse/Ox/Vitals machines with an older slow class B wireless network. Half way into the day I would have to reboot the machines, because they anti-virus would bog them down so bad the patient vital signs couldn't be auto recorded to our medical software because of live or hung scans, or profile downloads or who knows what else was going on. I even marking safe directories to bypass but that didn't help. We eventually just killed off all software and licenses, and tried another vendor hoping not to violate HIPAA regulations. Once I put the new Webroot SecureAnywhere on them, my problems were solved! I could protect my machines, they stayed up, scans don't get hung and are finished in a minute or two max. I have not had a single problem since I rolled it out in January. This is by far the fastest easiest malware solution I have ever used. If I do have a malware hit, I get an email that tells me which machine it was, and that it's already quarantined and clean. I really don't have to do much at all anymore except look at my email."
"My experience with Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection has been very positive. Our shop has used McAfee for our end-user protection for years but the clunky, confusing management interface coupled with dramatic PC slowdowns finally led us to evaluate an alternative.
The deployment was as simple as can be loading a tiny executable, pulling up the web interface (yay, no more local server requirement), and slightly modifying a well done template for policy. End users no longer complain about slow PC times when antivirus is “doing its thing” and protection has actually been much better. When we got a nasty virus last week that we’ve previously gotten with our old provider, it took hours to return the PC back to working. Webroot saw it, cleaned it, alerted us, and that was about it. Love it!
It’s helped us focus back on other items instead of constantly trying to ensure versions are up-to-date or definitions actually installed. The sheer size of the application is mind boggling for how well it works. Install in 15 seconds versus 15 minutes. The one gripe I have is not being able to delete workstations from the web interface, say for example, if the computer dies or is removed from the network. This can be achieved through a technical support request however.
All in all, a wonderful program that does what it says in less time than you’re used to. Bravo!"
"I'm the IT Director for a large medical services provider and have a relatively small team of staff for a large user base (over 500). We were using other products for years with pretty terrible results. Particularly, we had multiple issues with TDSS and other rooting malware which punched right through our previous anti-virus product (one of the major names). Our solution before Webroot was to pull the device, wipe the hard drive (and MBR) then re-image from our stock image and then customize all the non-standard applications needed for that specific position. This process was time consuming for my staff and frustrating for our users. Especially terminal servers, oh my, they were constantly being infected. We started using Webroot for all our devices (workstations, laptops, servers, even tablets and phones) about a year ago and I can honestly say we have not had to reimage a single device since we started. This product is absolutely phenomenal and I've started using it on all my personal devices as well (moved from ESET to webroot personally shortly after seeing it's performance at work). The scans are very quick and the idle footprint is nearly non-existent. Updates are fast and non-intrusive. Converting our entire fleet to it was extremely easy (I scripted an uninstall batch script and attached it to our login script coupled with a customized MSI (instructions for embedding your company license in the installer are provided by Webroot)and everyone was converted and showing up in the webroot console within a week. We started deploying mobile version of this about two months ago for our BYOD users and our company issued tablets and as a HIPAA concerned organization we love it. If a device is lost, we can quickly locate it via GPS, lock the device with a message to the "finder" to return the device or we can even completely wipe out the information on the device all from our web console. This has really relieved our minds on security issues about these devices being used for work.
I'm not being paid for this review. I really just believe so strongly in this product that I want to climb a mountain and shout to the stars about it. I've tried many AV programs over my 20 years in the IT field and Webroot is by far the best one I've ever encountered. I recommend it to all my friends, family and business contacts."
"I'm a Sys Admin at a small manufacturing company, I took over the security roll beginning of this year and trialed a number of commercial/enterprise AV products, and far and away Webroot was the best. In my organization spending for info sec is not where I'd like it to be so when I was picking a new AV product it was with knowledge that for the near future that AV and my firewall were going to be it. I believe that my choice to go with webroot has been validated by the fact that in the 8 months we have been using it we have not had a single infection, and my users, like most end users LOVE clicking random links/attachments especially from nigerian princes looking for a little help moving some $. When we first started testing it webroot seemed too good to be true, installs in 1-2 seconds and scans are fast with no detectable performance impact. So, I installed webroot on a laptop, connected to some random wifi and did delved the disgusting under belly of the internet (for scientific purposes of course) clicking links you shouldn't and opening attachments on random emails, and at the end nothing made it past webroot. At this point my boss was thoroughly convinced that webroot was witchcraft of some kind."
"As a Managed Service Provider supporting over a thousand nodes and end points, we have used and tried most all AV products and solitions available. As we came to expect, all other products have their strengths and weakenesses. Our main points of concern are performance on a system, REALTIME protection, and ease of deployment and managing end points. We rarely experienced a product that was updated quickly enough to handle the newest threats.
WELCOME TO WEBROOT!
Since deploying Webroot to more than half our existing end points, we have immediately seen a dramatic reduction in virus/malware issues and occrances, and the REALTIME proteciotn is the best we have experiened to date. Webroot's Cloud based approach to protection is providing BEST IN CLASS protection and absolutely one of the most up-to-date services we have seen.
Top the benefits of their product with an absolutely STELLAR SUPPORT TEAM. We have called support on occasion for more instructional assistance, not product problems, and they are quick to answer the phone with a REAL person who is knowledgeable and completely capable of assisting us ON THE SPOT without escallating or having to send us to someone else to help. Immediate response and immediate assistance. Truly amazing and refreshing when compared to most other providers.
Thank you Webroot!!
"Great product! Incredibly easy to install and manage as an Admin. Removing and reassigning licenses as computers need to be retired is a breeze also. Works well with the ancient XP and on Windows 7.
The previous anti-virus client we were using had its virus definitions expire a few years ago so there was a myriad of bad news on a good number of our PC's; Webroot seems to have caught them all. Our network is functioning better than it has in a long time!
My favorite feature of Webroot is the notifications I can get via email. As soon as a virus is detected I am notified via email so I can run a deep scan and "counsel" the employee on safe internet usage or find out what was going on that caused the problem."
"Webroot SecureAnywhere - Endpoint Protection installs fast, scans fast and detects many virus's and threats much faster and more accurately than my previous AV solution. Coupled with Webroot's Web Security filter I am able to have complete control over my networks security. Limiting my end users exposure and risk to malware. I would recommend Webroot to anyone looking for a lightweight and effective AV solution that goes beyond just checking for virus signatures."
"As an IT admin, I love the lightweight scanning and detection, works great on newer PCs (scan speeds are adequate even on older XP machines). What I'd really like to see is faster turnaround on "zero day" malware, it often takes close to a full business day for email-attachment malware to be detected whereas Malwarebytes takes only a few hours.
I'd like the ability to be able to add any malware to a local reject list via my Webroot console and have any added files automatically get uploaded to Webroot's cloud for further analysis."
No Conflicts: Runs alongside other security software so you don't have to uninstall anything to deploy or try it.
