Webroot, the market leader in cloud-based, real-time internet threat detection, today announced the appointment of Robbie Upcroft as managing director for the Asia Pacific region. He will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market momentum and overall business strategy for the company in the Asia Pacific (APAC) market.
Upcroft, who is be based in Sydney, Australia, is recognised as a technology industry leader, having held senior management positions across Australia and the UK. He has a proven track record in developing and delivering SMB and distribution market strategies.

Prior to his role with Webroot, Upcroft was the general manager at Arrow ECS where he was responsible for the company's profitability after a challenging acquisition integration. Before this, he was the sales manager of SMB and distribution for Asia Pacific at McAfee. Upcroft holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Communications from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Business Administration and Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of NSW.
