Webroot, a leader in cloud-based security intelligence solutions, today announced significant global achievements in its third fiscal quarter, which spanned from January to March of this year. Major strategic partnerships, key business customer wins, and new industry awards confirm Webroot's market leading cloud-based security platform is becoming the solution of choice in fighting the changing security threat landscape. Webroot's growth in the quarter was led by the rapid adoption of SecureAnywhere™ solutions which showed a 138 percent growth in bookings versus the same quarter last year.
In the quarter, Webroot added more than 1500 new business customers. The company also bolstered its worldwide channel network by forging alliances with UK-based CDG and Australia-based Vadis Systems, and with ValueBoxx, a leading distributor in the Middle East. The explosion of mobile computing has given rise to an increase of security threats and Webroot has signed several new mobile device management (MDM) customers including SOTI, FancyFon and VeliQ, who are enhancing their enterprise mobility solutions with Webroot technology.
Since launching its MSP Program, Webroot has partnered with leading Managed Service Providers (MSPs) such as Anittel, the 11th largest MSP in the world, Computer Consultants, and Grapevine MSP. MSPs appreciate how SecureAnywhere solutions help them deploy and manage their customers' endpoint security from the cloud while lowering overhead costs, increasing productivity, and maximizing recurring revenue streams. In addition, Webroot was awarded the highly coveted "Best in Show" award at MSPWorld 2013, the premier cloud and managed service event.
In the realm of product development, Webroot launched two innovative suites for technology partners during the quarter, including Security Intelligence for Mobile and Security Intelligence for Networks. Both are powered by the company's global security intelligence cloud, the Webroot® Intelligence Network (WIN), the most comprehensive threat intelligence engine in the world. WIN is a cloud-based security intelligence platform that responds to millions of threat queries per day, including real-time evaluations of URLs, domains, IP addresses, files, and applications. Webroot also introduced its Real Time Anti-Phishing Service, which determines whether a link is actually a phishing attack in seconds.

Webroot also continued its dominance as the market leader, taking the number one spot in market share in the retail security software space in North America, according to NPD2.
As further validation of its continuing efforts to protect enterprises against cybercrime, Webroot SecureAnywhere Business—Endpoint Protection achieved the highest ranking in antimalware software performance tests, according to research firm PassMark. In addition, to lower the cost of security operations and to provide a clear path to implementation, Webroot introduced SecureAnywhere Business User Protection Pricing, enabling business customers to license protection for their employees across endpoints, mobile devices, and physical and virtual server environments with a single license key.
