Mike Irwin, Chief Operating Officer
As chief operating officer at Webroot Software, Inc., Michael Irwin is responsible for overseeing internal operations of Webroot, in addition to strategically driving forward the overall business and company objectives.
Prior to his role as COO Irwin served as chief financial officer of Webroot from September 2004 to December 2005. During that time Michael managed the financial growth of the company and worked with the management team to prepare the company for its next formative stages.
Prior to his arrival at Webroot, Michael served as chief financial officer of Brightmail, Inc., where he successfully engineered the IPO effort which ultimately resulted in the Symantec acquisition.
Michael also served as vice president of B2SB Technologies Corp. (previously known as Smartage.com Corporation), a provider of software and services to small businesses. In that capacity, he guided capitalization efforts which raised $22 million in private equity. Michael also spent nearly eight years in the management consulting and merge & acquisition groups at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a public accounting firm.
Michael received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
