Webroot, a leading provider of security solutions for the consumer, enterprise and SME markets, today announced its channel achievements at two prestigious industry awards: MicroScope ACEs 2010 and European IT Excellence Awards 2010.
Webroot has been shortlisted for the 'Security Vendor of the Year' at MicroScope ACEs 2010, one of the most esteemed titles in the channel industry. Inclusion in this prestigious listing demonstrates the industry's recognition of the company's position as a leading provider within the security as a service market.
The online voting process starts from 15th March and ends on 1st April and operates on a one vote per email address basis. Customers and partners can vote for Webroot under the 'Security Vendor of the Year' category at the awards website.
Ian Moyse, Webroot EMEA Channel Director, commented, "Being shortlisted for such an influential award is critical to Webroot, as it proves that our offerings add significant value to our channel partners and end users. It is also important that the award is voted for by the magazine readers and partners, as we are always delighted with feedback from our customers and channel partners. This shortlist also puts us in a strong position as we strengthen our commitment to the channel with the recent launch of the advanced EMEA channel partner programme and channel-friendly multi-tiered service structure."
In addition, Ian Moyse was voted one of the top three Channel Personalities of the Year at the European IT Excellence Awards 2010, organised by IT Europa. The ultimate achievement for channel professionals was voted by peers and colleagues across the European IT channel, and this year, there were over 1,000 votes cast in the poll, representing a considerable influence within the industry.
About MicroScope ACEs 2010
This year the categories in the ACEs have changed to reflect the widespread focus on solution selling offered by the reseller channel. Overall the awards are designed to recognise and reward the strength and depth of the channel, giving some of the unsung heroes a chance to get the recognition they deserve. There are chances for some of the back office teams that serve crucial functions in distribution to get rewarded, as well as the vendor channel team of the year to step forward and receive the plaudits from the industry they serve.
