How do I setup or configure SecureAnywhere once it is installed?
  • There is no additional configuration required for a typical user. Webroot SecureAnywhere installs fully configured and optimized to provide security without impacting your computers usability. Users with additional configuration needs can access advanced options through the settings link in the upper right corner of the main interface.
I want to install Webroot SecureAnywhere on a PC and a Mac, will I need different key codes?
  • No, the keycode you received with your purchase will work with all platforms including PC, Mac, and Android mobile devices.
How do I update my definitions for Webroot SecureAnywhere?
  • WSA is a cloud based solution that is always up to date with the latest information to ensure the highest level of protection against all forms of malware.
What is the Webroot SecureAnywhere portal and why should I create an account?
  • The SecureAnywhere portal enables you to view the security status of your PC's and mobile devices as well as utilize your password management features. Your account can be created and the portal can be accessed from https://my.webrootanywhere.com .
How do I access password management features for Webroot SecureAnywhere?
  • On each computer with SecureAnywhere installed, open the main interface (double-click the Webroot icon Webroot iconin the system tray), click Identity & Privacy, then click the Password Management tab. If a Download and Install button appears, click the button to install the components. Password management also needs to be setup through the Webroot SecureAnywhere portal. Create your portal account, login to the portal and select to "Set Up Account Now" on the Passwords panel. See the Passwords user guide for more detail.

I'm using an older version of the Webroot product, can I upgrade to Webroot SecureAnywhere?
  • WSA is available as a free upgrade to users that have active subscriptions. Follow the instructions to upgrade found here . (note: follow solution "Webroot 2011 (versions 7.x)")
How do I transfer my subscription to a new device?

Webroot SecureAnywhere is a multi user license allowing you to use your license on up to 3 devices. If you are using the maximum number of devices you will need to uninstall from the old device prior to installing on the new device.


  1. Locate your keycode and write it down. The keycode is a string of 20 alphanumeric characters. It is unique and holds the information about your subscription.
  2. To uninstall the Webroot software, go to the Windows Start menu, select All Programs (or Programs), select the Webroot software, and select the Uninstall... option.
  3. Installation for PC, Mac & Mobile.
